Stayed here for a mini vacation. Loved it. It's classic, elegent, and very romantic. I recommend staying in the historic section of the hotel - it's charming. The location cannot be beat - in the heart of Waikiki and in walking distance from all sort of shopping, dining and beach activities. more

If you book to stay here you are buying into a piece of history and old world elegance. You will not get all the mod cons, big rooms etc etc. However saying that, if you are familiar with the Westin brand, you will recognise all of the niceties. We deliberately booked to stay in the banyan wing as one of... more

A recent stay at the Moana Surfrider Westin Resort was the most frustrating and humiliating stay ever experienced in a hotel. My husband is a Westin SPG Platinum member. We stayed for 5 nights from 19th August. These are the problems we encountered over our stay. From Check-in at the SPG counter there was a long wait and staff was unfriendly.... more

Wonderfull hotel, great location except horrible restaurants with , long wait for a table and long, long wait to be served tasteless food especially morning beakfast buffet was a let down. At lunch a regular burger plus a club sanwich finally reached our table 1 hour and 50 minutes after being ordered. I expect beach chairs to be sufficient and... more

My boyfriend took me here as part of a two island birthday trip to Oahu and Maui (see Kapalua Villas separate review). I love Oahu and particularly enjoy the cosmopolitan, international flavor of Waikiki and its legendary beach. We stayed at the White Lady for four nights; I wanted to stay here because of the history of this gracious, old... more

We stayed at the Moana for our second week of our honeymoon. When we arrived we were greated with a complimentary starbucks and then taken off to our room. Checkin was fast and friendly. We were upgraded and our room was lovely but a little small. We were overlooking the pool area and it was a little nosy especially when... more

We stayed at the Moana 8/1/08-8/8/08, the second week of our two week trip to Hawaii after coming from Maui where we stayed in a condo. We booked on the website in September and got a rate of $425/night for an Oceanfront room with Balcony, daily breakfast buffet for two, daily in room movie, and welcome basket on arrival. We... more

This is a nice hotel; serene, stately and right on the beach front in central Waikiki. However, the hotel has let itself down badly in one regard. Because the number of guests who want to use the hotel's beach and pool loungers/ chairs outweighs the number available, the hotel has introduced an idiotic system. This system consists of requiring guests... more

We stayed this hotel many times(I live in Honolulu). Last November we stayed in Diamond Wing-painful !! Just like other review, room was very old, mold on ceiling, probably original bathroom with 60's leaking faucets(never seen that old faucets before !), damaged old fashioned chairs & tables. And AC was SO loud ! I still love this hotel ambience and... more
