Staff was friendly. They explained to us using maps how to get around and how the local MRT system works. I would certainly recommend this hotel to friends and family. Location is great too. Few mins walk you are in Clark Quay where there lots of restaurants and bars and in the other direction you are in Chinatown. Great service... more

This was our second stay here, and Im now even more convinced that the Furama is the best stay in Singapore for people who dont expect posh and pretentious hotels. We stayed with 2 small children and the massive twin beds were big enough for all of us. There were renovations going on, which didnt affect us at all, but... more

Not much to say really. The room was comfortable, if not a little generic. I believe the place was recently renovated. The fittings in the room seemed new, but were by no means modern. Location wise it's great - on the edge of Chinatown and a few minutes walk to Clark Quay. Overall I would say I was happy with... more

Best location in Singapore unless you want to stay on Orchard Road and shop till you drop. Straight out the hotel and across the road is Chinatown. Plenty of shopping centres and chinatown knick knack shopping to do. Heaps of places for eating. Walking distance to Clarke Quay and $5-$6 taxi fares to Orchard Rd and Little India. 2 mins... more

The futuristic-looking Furama Hotel was our base in Singapore for four nights. We arrived in Singapore mid-afternoon and were immediately impressed by the spotlessly-clean city as we travelled in by taxi from the airport. Check-in was smooth and our room was large and comfortable. We chose the Furama as we liked the idea of staying in Chinatown rather than the... more

I was directly upgraded to executive room and was given room at high floor since they are having construction done in the third floor 9 AM - 8 PM). The room is basic but very clean, the corridor is also very clean. The only thing we complain is the lack of smiles and politeness by the staffs. But since we... more

I stayed 3 days at the Furama City Center in July 2008. Was promptly upgraded to an Executive room upon arrival. Staff very friendly and helpfull. If they were keen on tips, they didn’t show it. The gym is not worth its name, 4 basic machines crammed into a very small room. They have a small launderette for hotel guests,... more

We stayed in March2008 and booked a 'family room' for 2 adults and 2 children. The staff proudy put us in one of the newly refurbished rooms which are very slick and quite well finished. Unfortunately it was totally impracticle for the kids with a glass walled bathroom. We went back to reception and they moved us without fuss to... more

Good location to Chinatown Food Street, and MRT Stations etc. Rooms very small - book a triple if travelling wtih two small children (this way you get a double bed and a single). more

Reading through these reviews, I think I must be the only one who didn't get upgraded to an executive room on arrival! Instead I got a twin room on the fifth floor. First impressions were not good, as the porters were so keen to get a tip I virtually had to wrestle my luggage off them. Check in was pretty... more
