This hotel is beautiful upon entrance into the spacious lobby.... The location is excellent... within walking distance of Chinatown, Verizon Center, and nightlife. We reserved a king room, which had a beautiful, comfortable bed. We both agreed that the bed was THE most comfortable we've slept in within the past few years of travelling.... if ever. My bf and I... more

My wife and I wanted a romantic getaway in DC, and we got a great rate through Priceline (linking there from biddingfortravel.com). The hotel is only a few blocks from Chinatown and museums, and Metro stops (making it close to everywhere in DC.) The staff is professional, courteous, and always smiling. The spaceous lobby is a great place to relax... more

From the moment we arrived the renaissance put a smile on our faces. In a perfect location in the centre of the city. In walking distance to every sight and with all main tour buses stopping on the square outside you could not have a better location. The rooms are large well appointed and very luxurious. Pool was large and... more

I stayed in the Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel for one night after spending the previous week in a different hotel for a convention. The staff was helpful and friendly. They took our bags early in the day which allowed us to spend the day sightseeing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, especially the bedding. I did think they were on... more

The hotel is in a good location - within 15 minutes walking distance of the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and Capitol Hill. The rooms are a bit small for the price paid, but were very clean and comfortable to stay in. The pool was closed, and the staff offered no apologies or alternate options, although the website claimed... more

I visited Washington DC for business and stayed at the Renaissance. The company paid $200 per night. If you are arriving at Reagan National Airport and you do not have much luggage, head straight on to the Metro station (subway) and catch the Yellow line (to Fort Totten). The subway will take you straight downtown. exit at the Chinatown/Galleria stop... more

Had to stay at the Renaissance WDC for a conference and booked the 'club' floor. Having just stayed at the Renaissance LAX, I thought I'd be getting something extra special on the club floor. No chance, tiny room. No instructions or directions on how to use the club lounge... nothing. A waste of money. I doubt I would recommend the... more

My wife and I stayed a week at the Renaissance in June, 2008 on a sightseeing tour of Washington DC. If I could think of anything negative at all to say it would be that there was a lot of noise from the street below our room from traffic. Every other aspect of our stay was fantastic. The room was... more

We booked the Renaissance last minute for a business training that my husband was attending, and I tagged along for a mini-vacation. The hotel is clearly geared towards business and convention but was just fine for a mini vacation as well. The pool is closed for renovation, as is the fitness center, but a mini-gym has been set up to... more

We stayed here from 4-6 Jun 08. Only a couple blocks from the China Town/Gallery Place metro stop. The hotel is very nice. The staff accomodated us with an early check in and late check out. The conceirge was helpful in getting us a shuttle from the hotel to BWI. Cost was $49 1st person and $10 each additional. Shuttle... more
