We were two families of 5 (4 adults, 6 kids under 14) and found the Hotel Madrid to be perfect for our group. We each had family suites which had 3 single beds in one room and a king sized bed in the other, separated by a door. The rooms were very spacious and clean and had efficient A/C units... more

My family and some friends and I stayed here for one night before we went on a 12-day cruise. The service was wonderful and I would especially like to thank Antonio at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. He provided us with information about bus tours and events in the city, complete with maps... more

I've just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay in the Madrid Hotel in Rome. The location is ideal and is within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. The Rooms are clean with nice bathrooms and the breakfast is your usual continental style with pastries, rolls, cereal & fruit. We stayed in a suite which... more

Although the rooms are on the small side, they are very clean. Bathrooms were spacious and modern. We did not spend much time in the rooms, except to get over jet lag the first day. Breakfast is included and it was excellent, something for everyone at their rooftop garden including great cappuccino and hot chocolate for the kids. The location... more

Stayed for 6 nights at the Hotel Madrid, picked this hotel on the basis of so many good reviews on here. We were not disappointed. Although expensive a lot of what you pay for is the fantastic location. Easily walkable to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon with Spagna metro station very close as well. Room itself was spacious,... more

Our group of 16 members, ranging in age from 10 to 67, stayed at the Hotel Madrid for 3 nights prior to embarking on a 12-night Western Mediterranean cruise. Our accommodations consisted of 3 suites and 2 double rooms. Hotel Madrid far exceeded our expectations and the staff, in addition to being highly efficient, was courteous, personable and extremely helpful.... more

Stayed in two rooms (double and triple) during Spring Break in April. This was our second of three hotels during our stay in Italy and it was nice. It is a small, boutique hotel. Husband and I had one room. Mother and two sons (12 and 13) shared a triple with queen bed and twin. Rooms were small, especially with... more

Have just returned following a 2 night stay in Hotel Madrid in a triple room which had a double and a single bed. Ok for us as we were all family and female, but could have been a bit difficult if you didnt want to share a bed!! The hotel is in a quiet side street, right next to The... more

Just returned from a 3-day break in Rome, staying at the Hotel Madrid. We had one of the family suites, double bed in one room, twin beds in the other room for our 2 boys (14 and 10). The rooms were not huge, but perectly adequate. The bathroom was a good size with a lovely shower and plenty of big... more
