Just got back from a week of relaxation at GR Solaris. Check in was fast and without problems. We were assigned a guest relations representative named Mauricio who was excellent in answereing all questions we had. The room we had was on the first floor ocean view with a patio and a jacuzzi. The view was great with the ocean... more

Surprised by the excellent food selection. Every morning the huge breakfast buffet changed its offerings slightly.. There is something for everyone and at 7am I was excited to attack the breakfast selection (especially the mimosas). My boyfriend and I dined at Marco Polo twice, first night was French night which was OK, the second time was mexican night and the... more

We booked GR Solaris through RCI. It was a very nice hotel. The bed wasn’t as bad as the reviews I read. We had a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean. They give you plenty of pillows. Just ask if you don’t have it. They have a small refrigerator that they refill with soda and “Sol” beer. If... more

Ok, I do not know what these people are talking about, but everything was excellent at this hotel. The people were all very nice and accommodating, the service by the pool was awesome, and the room service was always done very early and fast, which is perfect. The food was actually very good! I guess some of these people have... more

My husband and I went to the GR solaris this past week (august 08) and we had a great time! 1. The rooms- The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. My only real complaint would be the beds. They were very hard. I usually sleep with one pillow but because there was no give I needed another; I wished... more

We read the reviews before booking our all inclusive vacation at GR Solaris and thought "Hmmm...maybe the reviews of the food were from serious foodies who have very high standards of food." Not the case, the food seriously was not good. The snack bar by the pool included chips w/nacho cheese (worse then what you get at 7-11) and hot... more

I spend a week at the GR Solaris with 20 other family members and we had the greatest time. I was skeptical after reading the reviews, but honestly, you must be a difficult person if you do not enjoy yourself at this resort. I took my 4 year old daughter and we had the best time. I must say that... more

Just got back last night from my honeymoon at the GR Solaris and had been scouring trip advisor for months and months prior to my trip like I always do. I found the GR Solaris to be really, really nice but frankly I don't think it's worth the trip when there is so much more to Mexico. To get right... more

THE BUILDING: The building at the GR Solaris was built in about 2004-2005 so it is still pretty new. The lobby area is very pretty with marble everywhere. It is an air-conditioned area so you are very comfortable from the second you walk in the front door. There are several places to eat, including Café Solaris which is in the... more

RCI recommended this hotel for its kid friendliness. I was told that my 6 year old daughter would be free, but when I got there I was told that she was $30/day. The pool was decent, but there was no beach to speak of. I think that the kids area was open once while I was there? The room was... more
