Went to the pyramids in December 07. Takes about 2 hours across Cairo from the airport in the worst traffic I've ever seen. I took my 6 year old to the Pyramids last year and she loved it. However i must mention that the camel riding is not up to par with the setting. What can you say when you stand in front of the pyramids - truly awesome sight. Just a word of warning though be very careful of offers to ride camels etc. They use intimidation and threats to extort money out of you. three members of our tour group had bad experiences.
